Welcome to the Fayette County Board of REALTORS® (FCBR)!

Membership Benefits:

  • Gain access to the resources and network of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) and the Georgia Association of REALTORS® (GAR).
  • Participate in the FCBR Circle of Achievement program (upon completing all requirements).
  • Gain access to all REALTOR® Member Benefits from GAR, NAR, and Fayette REALTORS®.

Eligibility:

  • Hold an active real estate license with a REALTOR® company.
  • Join FCBR within 30 days of placing your license.

Application Process:

  1. Review Requirements: Carefully read this application and understand the responsibilities of membership, including the REALTOR® Code of Ethics.
  2. Submit Application: Submitting your application signifies your agreement to these terms.
  3. New Member Orientation (for NEW Members only): Upon approval, attend the mandatory New Member Orientation (NMO) and Code of Ethics (COE) class within 6 months. Important: Only four NMO sessions are offered in 2024 (Jan 16, Apr 23, Jul 09, Nov 5).
  4. Welcome Packet: Once processed, you'll receive a welcome email with a payment receipt and your NMO attendance date.

Key Points:

  • Incomplete or inaccurate information may result in membership denial.
  • Dues are non-refundable as per FCBR bylaws.
  • FCBR may contact you using the information provided.
  • Membership approval rests with the Board of Directors and requires fulfilling all requirements (including NMO).
  • Ongoing Code of Ethics training is mandatory.
  • Ethics complaints may impact future membership.
  • Arbitration may be required for disputes arising during membership.

To be eligible for REALTOR® membership, you'll need an active real estate license and a commitment to practicing real estate. Membership grants you access to the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) and the Georgia Association of REALTORS® (GAR), providing valuable resources and networking opportunities.

Important Note: Primary membership requires joining a local board where your broker holds membership.

A Designated REALTOR® (DR) is a qualified REALTOR® member who holds a leadership position within a real estate firm, such as Principal, Partner, Corporate Officer, or Branch Manager. Each company has only one DR, responsible for managing membership for the firm's actively licensed agents.

Important Note for DRs:

  • Membership fees apply per licensed agent. Paying these fees doesn't automatically grant individual membership. Each agent must complete an application and meet all REALTOR® membership requirements.
  • DR must be listed as the Broker at the Georgia Real Estate Commission

An office for REALTOR® Members

Primary Membership vs. Secondary Membership: Primary membership must be held at a board that your Broker is a member of. Secondary membership can be held at any board once you have established primary membership. Your Broker does no have to be a member of the secondary board.

You MUST be an active REALTOR® Member in order to be a secondary member. If you are not a REALTOR® member, you cannot be a secondary member.

An office for REALTOR® Members
